HCG Diet and Weight Loss Program Overview

The prescription HCG Weight Loss program is an exciting program that offers many advantages, including the loss of stubborn, stored fat. At Tavicare, we understand how difficult it can be to gain control and manage weight, and we have a number of ways to help people lose weight slowly, but some people will do much better with a quick jumpstart using hCG, followed by a detox program and then a transition to lifelong healthy eating habits that sustain health over the long run. Dr. Tavakoli carefully evaluates people to see if they are a good fit for hCG – it is only recommended to some patients.

By using a combination of VLCD (very low calorie diet) and HCG injections, the HCG diet focuses on losing and maintaining weight by temporarily shifting one’s food intake to under 1000 calories while taking daily injections of low dose hCG, or the human chorionic gonadotropin hormone. This combination helps to reset one’s metabolism to ensure long-term weight loss.

The hCG diet was originally developed by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons to aid clinically obese patients in quickly returning to a safer weight zone to avoid deadly health conditions. Research of 40 years and thousands of cases conducted by Dr. Simeons led to the concept of the hCG diet, which is meant to be a healthier interpretation and implementation of weight loss rather than the purely cosmetic, over-hyped diets of today. Unlike other maintream diets, the hCG diet refocuses one’s attention to smaller portions, better carbohydrates in the form of vegetables, and structured routines that promote more long-term weight-loss. It is not a diet solely for the purpose of losing weight to look good.

Food Plan

The food plan you follow during the VLCD and Transition phases of the program is very specific. To achieve optimal weight-loss success it is advised that the program be closely followed. The prescription HCG is a key factor in preventing hunger, which allows you to adhere to the program much more easily than you would expect. You can do it and you will see amazing results! Be sure to drink 64oz of water throughout the day.
