Vitamin C High Dose Therapy

Vitamin C, is also known as ascorbic acid. This nutrient is required for the synthesis of collagen, an important structural component of blood vessels, tendons, ligaments, and bone. Vitamin C also plays an important role in the synthesis of the neurotransmitter norephinephtine. Neurotransmitters are critical to brain function and are known to affect mood. In addition, Vitamin C is required for synthesis of carnitine, a small molecule that is essential for the transporting of fat to cellular organelles called mitochondria for conversion to energy.

Effective Anti-Oxidant

Vitamin C is also a highly effective antioxidant. Even in small amounts Vitamin C can protect indispensable molecules in the body, such as proteins, lipids, carbohydrates and nucleic acids from damage by free radicals. Vitamin C is an immune system booster par excellence. White blood cells use Vitamin C to combat infections, and in the case of inflammation or sickness, levels of Vitamin C are depleted. Thus when confronted by stress, we need an additional outside source of

Vitamin C. Today scientists recognize the crucial role that nutrition plays in supporting immune functions. Authorities on nutrition have long acknowledged the importance of macronutrients – adequate intake of protein and calories in maintaining the body’s defenses.

Therefore whenever we get sick, the fastest way to recover is to replenish our lost vitamins and minerals in the fastest way possible – IV NUTRITION.

Dr. Riordan once said the “we don’t treat cancer … we treat people who happen to have cancer”. IV-C is a tool that allows physicians to harness a healing mechanism that our human ancestors lost long ago: the ability to dramatically increase tissue levels of vitamin C. Research shows that the astonishingly high levels achievable only by IV-C not only help fight the risk of infection and the pain of metastases, they actually aid in the defeat of the cancer cells themselves, through a very elegant mechanism that does no harm to healthy cells. It’s a discovery that the medical world is only beginning to discover.
